THOSE WONDERFUL YEARS

Good morning Nueve Valles

I’m writing this from the Balearic islands.

I finished studying at Nueve Valles School around four years ago, and the truth is that in every dinner party I go to with my friends, we always talk about what we did and how we enjoyed at the school.

Among the best moments I remember are the ones related to the subject of Mass Media Studies. I can remember that we shot different short films. The one chosen is “Alevosía y Nocturnidad”. I haven’t forgotten making a traveling in Luis’s car and doing lots of things without any money. We spent some afternoons shooting at the school and the plot was about a couple of students who got into the school to steal an exam. I was one of the security guards at the school. I mean there were those afternoons in which I learnt a lot of things that I would have never dreamt of. You can watch it now. Don’t miss it!

After leaving school I’ve lived lots of different experiences –some good and some bad-.

In these last four years I have lived in Madrid, Torrevieja (Alicante), Caravaca (Murcia), and I have been living in Ibiza the last two. I’ve been playing football to make a living, and at the same time I’ve been studying as much as I can. You can see me in the pictures.

Personally, I encourage you to leave your home and live on your own. Try to live without your parents’ help because all the things that you achieve will be fantastic and you will feel proud of them. It might be difficult, but it’s very rewarding.

And to end my article I recommend you to have an adventurous life because it will help you to build your personality. And another thing, try to study as much as possible because when time comes to fill in your Curriculum Vitae, you will then regret not having studied more and not having enough knowledge.

Hi readers!

My name is Olmo López Matabuena, I’m 20, and I am an ex student of IES 9 Valles. It has been two years since I studied there.

When I finished Bachillerato and Selectividad I started to study mechanical engineering and music (piano, guitar and vocals). But soon I realized that it was not what I really liked, and I dropped out of university and I took a year to the music only, a year of great explandor for my group BACKLASH.

Backlash is the group where I am a singer, guitarist and composer. In the summer we recorded our first EP.

We were recording for a full week in the studio and it was a great experience, the producer was a very friendly guy and he was very helpful.

After that we have designed the CD and have put on sale, I hope this is a good way to make ourselves known.

This year I have decided to change my life and I have chosen Madrid as my city where I hope to become famous in the music world.

Nowadays I am studying at the Música Creativa´s School and studying CAFYD (science of physical activity and sport) too.

Maybe I'm wrong on whether this really makes me being someone someday but I'm happy with what I have chosen, that I really like.
